We designed PrivacyHarbor.com to enable users to conduct private message-based communications over the Internet. To do this, it is imperative that our revenue sources NOT in any way be derived through advertising fees, like most email and instant messaging services available on the Internet today. This way we have no built-in financial interest to "harvest" and "re-purpose" what we feel should be private information (data) from the communications of users, in order to support advertising customers. We do not work with any advertisers and our private email accounts are 100% free from commercial advertisements and pop-ups.
We are custodians of your communication data, which includes the content of your messages. We claim no ownership rights over your information whatsoever. Outside of what may be required of us by law, we will never knowingly share or provide any of your data to third parties without written instructions from the account owner. We will not use account data to engage in target advertising as is done with other email providers.
Take a few minutes to review the privacy policy of popular webmail and messaging clients. Buried in the legalese you'll find language about sharing personal data, the free use of your data to support their business, the non-revocable rights, the advertising tracking cookies and the tortuous process you need to go through to opt out assuming your information hasn't already been sold to a third or fourth party. It quickly becomes clear who their real clients are – the third party advertisers or marketing partners. The free communications solutions are a facade.
PrivacyHarbor® has no "Marketing Partners", approved or otherwise. It conflicts with our primary value proposition, which is private and secure Internet communications.

PrivacyHarbor, Inc. (the Company) will not disclose any of your personal information or access your account, except with your permission or unless PrivacyHarbor® has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: 1) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; 2) protect and defend the rights or property of PrivacyHarbor® 3) enforce the PrivacyHarbor® Subscriber Agreement; 4) act to protect the interest of its members or others or 5) maintain and improve the service.
All communications that you send from your PrivacyHarbor® Account will be received with your Internet Protocol (IP) address contained within the header of your message. PrivacyHarbor® may occasionally send you a communication to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you informed about the goings on in our PrivacyHarbor® world. We won't abuse the privilege or your time.
When you register for a PrivacyHarbor® User Account, we require that you provide a username (your email address) and a password to access your account. You password is known only by the account user and at no time will be able to be reproduced by any PrivacyHarbor.com employee. We use cookies as part of our login process to remember who you are. PrivacyHarbor® reserves the right to change this policy without prior notification.
